FEES
Fees will be pre-arranged as per the fee schedule.
PAYMENT
Payment shall be made immediately upon completion of a tutoring session. OR Payment shall be made weekly/monthly in advance. Accepted methods of payment include: cash, check, debit, or online payment. There will be a $30 insufficient fund fee if check does not clear.
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY STUDENT
The Student may cancel by giving at least 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor in which case no fees will be incurred. Lessons not attended by the student without giving 24 hours prior notice to the Tutor shall be charged at the full rate.
CANCELLATION OF LESSONS BY TUTOR
The Tutor may cancel lessons by giving 24 hours prior notice to the Student in which case no fees shall be incurred. Where a lesson was pre-paid, the Tutor shall reschedule the appointment at a time agreeable to both parties.
LATE ARRIVAL
No adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the Student. Any lost time because of the late
arrival of the Tutor shall be compensated for by extending a lesson by mutual agreement and by such amount of time that was lost.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE TUTOR
The Tutor agrees to do all preparation prior to lessons and to structure lessons in such a way as to optimize time to the benefit of the Student. The Tutor shall keep confidential all information of the Student and shall contact other parties involved in the education of the Student as needed. The Tutor will forward all grades for homeschool instruction to appropriate agency.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT
The Student agrees to assist the Tutor in identifying problem areas in which the Student needs specific tutoring by bringing lesson plans and materials needed for success. The Student agrees that assignments, exercises or homework form an integral part of tutoring and agrees to complete such work by given due
dates. The Student agrees to return all materials loaned to them by the Tutor in good condition. Lost or damaged materials will have to be replaced at market value.
OBLIGATIONS OF PARENT (if client is a minor)
The parent agrees to have the Student at tutoring session on time with all materials. Parents may be asked to monitor worksheets given to the Student for correctness. (Answer keys will be provided to the Parent.) By signing this contract, the Parent gives permission for the Tutor to communicate with the Student's teacher via email or phone.
ELECTRONIC / SOCIAL MEDIA
The parent / student agrees that various correspondence could be exchanged electronically over the Internet with possible use of webcam and/or headset. Pictures and screenshots could be used for written literature and social media sites. See Privacy Notice for sharing of information.
